Under the direction of the Case Management Supervisor, the Case Manager is responsible for providing crisis intervention, advocacy, accessing the needs of residential clients, and implementing case plans for individuals and/or families whose lives have been impacted by relationship violence. The Case Manager is responsible for providing supportive services to clients that focus on securing permanent housing, employment, and childcare while utilizing best practices of trauma informed care. The Case Manager will work closely with community partners to ensure clients have access to resources and services that will further support self-sufficiency, safety, and housing security. Community Engagement Facilitator
Under the supervision of the Minnie Street and Newport Mesa Family Resource Center (FRC) Program Supervisors, the Community Engagement Facilitator will have the responsibility of coordinating the work of the Community Engagement Advisory Committee (CEAC) and Youth Action Council (YAC), who volunteer their time at both Newport Mesa and Minnie Street Family Resource Centers. The Community Engagement Facilitator oversees the recruitment, organization, and leads the CEAC and YAC members by facilitating meetings, events, and training to work collaboratively to support MSFRC and NMFRC. Additionally, the Community Engagement Facilitator takes part in facilitating the Personal Empowerment Program in the Family Resource Centers to provide survivors of domestic violence with the education and empowerment to decrease and/or prevent abuse in intimate relationships. Corporate and Community Engagement Coordinator
Under the direction of the Development Director, the Corporate and Community Engagement Coordinator will help expand and execute strategic priorities, support the implementation of special events, and drive meaningful volunteer experiences. Community Engagement at Human Options is a vital role in outreach and communicating not only what we do but why we do it. Under the direction of the Development Director, the Development Associate is responsible for providing skilled support to the fundraising team. This includes database management: entering, reporting, evaluating, and analyzing data. The Development Associate will also be responsible for supporting donor communications, overseeing mailing list management, overseeing donor/prospect research, as well as supporting fundraising events, marketing, and communications. It is a fast-paced position that requires proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the donor database (Raiser’s Edge) administration, demonstrates success in problem solving, and the ability to multi-task. Hotline/Residential Advocate- Relief
Under the direction of the Hotline Supervisor, this position will be responsible for answering our 24-hour Hotline and will provide oversight of our Shelter and Second Step properties. The Hotline Advocate is responsible for conducting telephonic and in-person intakes for victims of domestic violence, seeking shelter and will support shelter clients. The Hotline Advocate works closely with all Emergency Shelter staff to ensure that Shelter services and programs operate under the guidelines of trauma informed care and voluntary services. Reporting to a Clinical Supervisor, the Mental Health Therapist provides direct clinical and psychoeducational services to individuals (adults and minors), families, and groups. The Mental Health Therapist facilitates client education, support groups, and promotes domestic violence awareness and prevention through community outreach. Click here for more info and to apply.
Newport Mesa Family Resource Center Program Supervisor
Under the supervision of the Community Based Services Manager, the Newport Mesa (NM) Family Resource Center (FRC) Program Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the Family Resource Center. The NMFRC Program Supervisor coordinates service providers, supervises staff, compiles statistical and financial data for various reports, coordinates governance and policy procedure development, and prepares and monitors program budget. In addition, the NMFRC Program Supervisor also facilitates community involvement in the CEAC, performs outreach to community businesses and schools, educates FRC services within the community, initiates outreach to new partners and service providers, and addresses public inquiries regarding services, procedures, operations and regulations. Under the supervision of the Prevention and Community Education Director, the Prevention Educator develops and implements educational and outreach presentations, programs and activities for youth and adults, focusing on healthy relationships, intimate partner violence, teen dating violence, bullying and other topics as it relates. The Prevention Educator travels and works primarily in Orange County, working closely with school districts, Family Resource Centers, local universities, faith-based organizations, and community groups. The Prevention Educator will maintain and establish new community partnerships to drive education and outreach for violence prevention education and awareness. The Prevention Educator will recruit participants to join groups, opportunities, and to assist in the agency’s domestic violence outreach and prevention education efforts throughout target communities. Residential Clinical Program Supervisor
Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Residential Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of Clinical Services and Children’s Therapeutic programs at the Residential sites. The Residential Clinical Supervisor works closely with the residential leadership team to ensure all departments provide services using a trauma-informed approach. The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical and administrative supervision to residential therapists, serves as a field instructor to MSW and MFT interns, and supervises children’s program staff and interns. Under the supervision of the Residential Director, the Residential Coordinator assists the Residential Director with program facilities, staff, and is expected to be available to provide agency-wide on-call services for clients in crisis, after hours, weekends, and holidays, as needed. This position will work closely with staff, outside vendors, partners, volunteers, donors, and clients to provide a full range of support to program and facility management, process and collect forms and fees, explain policies and procedures, order supplies and services.
