Second Step
This transitional housing program offers affordable low-cost housing and support services for one year to abused women and their children after they have completed an emergency shelter program. The program is designed to help families recover from the effects of domestic violence, establish an independent life and become self-sufficient.
Transitional Housing Services
Families can live up to one year at Second Step. While there, they participate in a structured program. Services include: group and individual counseling for the mother and her children; job training and career assistance; provision of housing, clothing and household goods; and finally assistance in finding permanent, affordable housing.
