About Men’s Task Force:
Through the “100 Men, 1 Voice, 1 Campaign,” funds are raised to support violence prevention programs in schools and sponsor activities for the women and children of Human Options. Over the past six years, the campaign has raised more than $287,000.
Formed in 2004 from a group of generous Human Options volunteers and donors, the Men’s Task Force is made up of prominent and passionate Orange County residents and businessmen. In October, Domestic Violence Awareness month, the members launched their annual “100 Men, 1 Voice, 1 Campaign” to attract new members and raise money to provide domestic violence prevention programs and counseling. This year, the campaign’s spokesperson is Hugh McCutcheon, former 2008 U.S. Olympic gold medal men’s volleyball coach and current U.S. women’s volleyball coach.
Our New Vision: Outreach to teen athletes and their coaches. Our new project reaches to high school athletic directors – leaders who will work with us to build student athletes who take a stand against teen dating abuse and verbal violence. We will build teams of teen athletic leaders who model the value of dignity and respect for others, and teach this to their peers. What You Can Do: • Join the Men’s Task Force • Bring a friend to learn about our Men’s Task Force • Involve a high school athletic director or coach • Call Darla Olson at 949-737-5242 x317 to get involved
