Human Options Receives $10K Grant from Pacific Life Foundation for Second Step Program

Human Options, an Orange County-based nonprofit dedicated to ending the cycle of relationship violence, received a $10,000 grant from Pacific Life Foundation. The grant will support Human Options’ Second Step transitional housing program for domestic violence survivors and their children. Second Step is a comprehensive six-month transitional housing program designed to support homeless, low-income, abused women (accompanied by their dependent children) in acquiring skills, knowledge and resources to rebuild their lives, become self-sufficient, and obtain permanent housing. Second Step provides low-cost safe interim housing and services based on each clients’ individual needs and goals, including case management, legal and supportive services, evidence-based trauma-informed treatment/therapy, children’s therapeutic programs. Human Options is honored to announce that we are the proud recipients of an $11,500 grant from Wells Fargo to support our Fall Luncheon, which takes place October 4 at The Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. Chamicka Pollock, Regional Banking District Manager of the Saddleback Hills District of Wells Fargo, and also a member of Human Options Board of Directors, is the Event Co-Chair for this year’s Fall Luncheon. Human Options Receives $10K Grant from Bank of America for Second Step Program

Human Options, an Orange-County based nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence, has received a $10,000 grant from Bank of America to support its Second Step transitional housing facility, which provides domestic violence victims with housing, counseling, legal advocacy, and more. Human Options’ Second Step transitional housing facility opened in 1993 and provides victims with safe housing and services for up to six months. Services provided include case management, trauma informed counseling, legal advocacy, financial coaching, a children’s program, educational groups, employment assistance, linkage to resources at partner agencies, and assistance with obtaining permanent housing. Human Options Awarded $15K Grant from Blue Shield of California Foundation

Designed to empower domestic violence service providers to better serve their communities, the Blue Shield of California Foundation has awarded Human Options a $15,000 grant to support its core services.
