During this month our Family Resource Centers have some great activities and events planned. Check out and download our flyers below! Share and register for our events! \nSome of the biggest victims of relationship violence are sometimes the youngest. SUMMARY:6th Annual Love Shouldn't Hurt: Teen and Caring Adult VIRTUAL Conference
DESCRIPTION:February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM)\, and this 2021 at Human Options\, we are launching our awareness campaign in hopes to engage our teens\, families\, networks and communities. The culmination of the campaign will be on day 12 “Love Shouldn’t Hurt\,” with a Virtual Teen Conference with special guest speakers  \nJoin us on February 12 from 5-8pm via zoom for the  6th Annual Love Shouldn’t Hurt: VIRTUAL Teen Conference.  Human Options\, in collaboration with Newport Mesa Family Resource Center and Minnie Street Family Resource Fair\, will be holding the this conference virtually this year to to engage teen and caring adults in preventing teen dating violence. The event will provide tools and knowledge for students to lead healthy\, violence-free lives. Caring adults and parents are also essential in preventing TDV. DESCRIPTION:February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM)\, and this 2021 at Human Options\, we are getting ready to launch our awareness campaign in hopes to engage our teens\, families\, networks and communities. Often times\, teen relationships are overlooked and seen as ‘less serious’ when compared with adult relationships. However\, studies show that 1 in 3 teens will experience some type of abuse by an intimate partner. Because of this staggering statistic\, we are preparing for our TDVAM campaign this February 2021.  \nJoin us starting February 1st and all-month long to shine a line on Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month and join the COUNTDOWN to #HEALTHYLOVE campaign! \nThis year’s campaign will include taking action using our “Countdown to #HealthyLove” Challenge with daily activities\, a TDVAM toolkit\, facts and statistics about Teen Dating Violence\, and fun ways to engage via our social media platforms! \nTDVAM 2021 Flyer_FINAL- English
