Mother’s Day brings a range of emotions. For many of us who survived domestic violence, this day isn’t just about gifts or cards. It’s about the courage we show every day.
We want you to know: We see your strength in the quiet moments, in the hard conversations, in the effort to build peace after chaos. We have felt the exhaustion of late nights and the uncertainty of court dates. We understand the sacrifices you make for your children, even when you feel like you have nothing left.
Healing is not a straight path. Some days we feel powerful; others, we feel weighed down. But every step toward safety and hope matters even if you can’t always see how much.
What makes our journeys extraordinary is not just surviving but refusing to let the past define the future for our children. We are teaching them that love is never about silence or fear, but about respect and kindness. We are breaking cycles, building legacies of courage and dignity.
If you ever doubt yourself, remember: your children need your honesty, your hope, and your bravery, not perfection.
Every time you choose safety, you are changing their lives.
This Mother’s Day, we hope you give yourself the same kindness you give others. You are proof that healing is possible. Your strength matters. Your children see your courage and so do we.
Happy Mother’s Day.
With deep respect and hope,
