Child Abuse Prevention Month: Events & Activities

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and at Human Options we are committed to keeping each child free from abuse and violence. During this month our Family Resource Centers have some great activities and events planned. Check out and download our flyers below! Share and register for our events!  Some of the biggest victims of relationship violence are sometimes the youngest. Unfortunately, 65% of adults that abuse their partner physically and/or sexually abuse their children in the home. Virtual Sisterhood: Mental Health Awareness Month

During these last several months, our Family Resource Centers have been seeing an increased need for counseling services and are facing lengthy waitlists. 40 Hour Domestic Violence Training


Looking to work with domestic violence survivors or just expand your knowledge? Sign up for Human Options' 40-hour state mandated workshop! Offered biannually in the Spring and Fall, this domestic violence series is ideal for those seeking employment or volunteer experience with a domestic violence organization in California. Emergency hotline volunteers help answer calls to our 24-hour hotline and document each call. Emergency hotline volunteers are asked to do at least one, 3 hour shift per week. All hotline volunteers are mandated by the State of California to complete a 40-hour domestic violence awareness training before being eligible to volunteer.
