We invite you to join us on Thursday, October 20 at the Marriott Irvine Spectrum from 11:30am-1:30pm, for our Fall Luncheon Event: Igniting Social Change featuring Taylor Armstrong, author, reality show star, mother & domestic violence survivor and advocate. This topic is timely, as we know relationship violence is an issue that affects everyone.
Taylor Armstrong stars in the hit Bravo reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Each week viewers tune in to watch the drama unfold in Beverly Hills. Behind the glamorous façade of The Real Housewives Taylor hid a dark secret: her husband, Russell, had been physically, verbally, and emotionally abusing her. Thankfully, she was able to break the cycle of violence; after six years of abuse, she found the courage to leave. Taylor and her young daughter, Kennedy, found themselves starting over while the whole world watched. Her book, Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss and Finding the Courage Within, an autobiographical account of her life and personal experience with domestic violence, as a child and an adult, became a New York Times bestseller.
We invite you to join us in this important conversation and help us raise funds to provide our life-changing programs, such as our 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, walk-in centers, and community education program – ensuring children and adults escaping abuse are empowered to build lives free from fear.
