Reporting to the Legal Advocacy Program Supervisor, the Domestic Violence Advocate (DVA) works in the community to provide domestic violence intervention services. This includes responding to law enforcement calls (ride-a-longs) to provide crisis intervention, screenings, intakes, and resource referrals for survivors seeking emergency shelter. The DVA spends a significant amount of time partnering with law enforcement to respond to domestic violence emergency calls. The DVA works closely with Residential and Community Based Services staff to ensure that all services and programs provided by Human Options operate under the guidelines of trauma-informed care and voluntary services. A supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a team. Supervisors require the ability to manage staff, ensure productivity, and maintain a harmonious work environment. Supervisors act as the bridge between senior leadership and direct staff, translating strategic goals into actionable tasks and ensuring that agency policies, procedures, and best practices are upheld. Under the supervision of the Legal Advocacy Program Supervisor (LAPS), the Legal Advocate conducts initial assessments with domestic violence clients to identify existing or anticipated legal issues, and provides education, referrals, direct services, and resources to support clients. This position educates clients on their legal options available and works with the client to achieve the legal goals that the advocate and client have created. Click here for more info and to apply.
Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Finance Director leads the organization’s financial strategy, planning, and compliance. The Senior Finance Director oversees budgeting, financial reporting, and the development of accounting frameworks to ensure timely, accurate financials in compliance with nonprofit and funder standards.
